my stack

There it is-in all its glory-my stack! My 1200+ page todo list perched on my coffee table where it’s able to mock me best. I recently dropped my “programming only” subject criteria and I’m finding the variety provides a nice change of pace from one book to another. With each book comes fresh, new information about a subject completely different than the last. I’ve yet to add fiction to the mix and I fear such a thing will never happen.

I’ve began posts on some of the books I’ve received so far and will update them with a review.

“I’ve yet to add non-fiction to the mix…” ALL of it is non-fiction! How about some novels, some jokes, some romance…some bromance? LOL. Good collection though and I like the photo. It reminds me of the site I’m (supposed to be) working on for an author. Do you read completely through the references or stop and apply?

Great catch, Shani! Thanks! I don’t see any novels in my future unless I’m reading for research purposes. I usually don’t read through reference books but I’m new to Obj-C so I read through that one. (Also it was only about 100 pages). Although useful for learning Obj-C, it didn’t help much in my quest to program iPhone apps. A reference book on the frameworks provided by Apple would serve me better. Learning the language came fairly easy. Becoming familiar with the frameworks will take some time and experience.
